Frequently Asked Questions

You can expect to see noticeable results in your first lesson, guaranteed! While improvements will continue to build in subsequent sessions, it's essential to maintain consistency in practicing the techniques taught. Just like learning an instrument, ongoing commitment and practice with your dog are key to achieving lasting results. Without this dedication, the benefits of training may not be fully realized, resulting in ineffective use of your time and investment.

For your dog's training session, please bring a well-fitted collar or harness and a leash. If your dog has favorite toys or treats that motivate them, feel free to bring those as well. Proper identification tags are also encouraged for safety purposes.

Training a dog is a process that requires time and commitment; it is not achievable in just one session. With the right instruction tailored to your dog, you will spend less time feeling frustrated. While you can expect to see results in your first lesson—this is true—it’s crucial to consistently implement the new techniques you learn in order to foster long-term behavioral changes in your dog.
-
Choosing the right training method for your dog involves assessing both your dog's specific behaviors and your individual goals as an owner. Each dog presents unique challenges; for example, handling aggression requires a different approach than addressing escape issues. Our priority is to resolve these challenges quickly and effectively, while minimising frustration for both you and your dog. We utilise a variety of proven techniques tailored to each dog's needs, ensuring a personalized training experience that suits their personality and behavior.

The ideal time to begin training is immediately—there's no time like the present! Starting early prevents bad habits from becoming ingrained behaviors. As a dog owner, you will also benefit from learning what is appropriate for your dog and understanding canine behavior in general. Training is particularly effective with younger puppies, as they can develop both good and bad habits in as little as 2-3 weeks. In fact, the moment you bring a new dog or puppy home, training starts naturally, whether you realize it or not. The sooner you begin teaching your dog, the better their training outcomes will be!
